Personal Session
Personal sessions are available at your location or ours, depending on your need. For horse owners, we can tailor a program for you to work with our horses to learn the methods or jump into the work with your own horse.
For personal self-focused sessions, you’ll work with one of our herd. We recommend planning a series of sessions in the beginning to learn the steps and then build muscle memory toward AlphA.
Group Sessions
We offer workshops and exercises for groups as well. Would you like to work with your team to improve your communication skills? Conflict resolution? Problem-solving? Listening and HEARING? Working on AlphA also targets some of the “missing pieces” that we lack…
mental tools!
Our group sessions begin with the “Pre-Talk” and include exercises without horses before beginning the round pen activities to reinforce safety procedures. Individual time in the round pen may include partners and small groups.
We can work with your HR department to tailor a program specific to your needs, with group numbers
as few as 2 or as many as 10.
Our team/group clients have included law enforcement and first responders, market trading specialists, mental health professionals, coaches and their clients,
school and church groups.
We often partner with coaches, trainers and counselors to provide sessions for their clients, training officers or students. If you are a leader and would like to schedule a session or series for your group, please reach out and we'll work with you to organize a workshop or clinic!
If you aren’t able to attend a workshop or Intensive in person, one way to begin your journey is through our online Intro Course. There are some key concepts that you’ll need to understand before you even enter the round pen, and taking them one piece at a time through the course assignments, weekly Zoom calls and AlphA journal can be a way to break up the content AND handle it remotely until you can attend in person.
The online Intro Course is available through Cohorts or individually, depending on the schedule.
Once you complete the 30 Day Intro Course, we can provide continuing work remotely through personal Zoom lessons, mini-courses (Trailer Loading, Round Pen, etc.)
or though our video lessons.
There are four aspects or “pieces" to the training. All of these “pieces” are “natural” and contribute to our mental well-being. When you come to an Intensive, through working with Marley, Ree, or one of the other horses in the program, we are consciously able to address:
1. Being impeccable with your “picture” or goal, but even more importantly, letting the situation tell you what, when and how to accomplish whatever that picture may include.
2. Building the mental tools needed to accomplish any task. These tools include patience, timing, feel, problem-solving, listening, work ethic, etc.
3. Understanding and learning to listen to your positive and negative poles, the inner gauges that help you balance your feelings and let you know if a situation is safe.
4. Once you have all of the first three aspects in working order, building your muscle memory so that the appropriate picture, tools and poles become habitual.
These four things may seem quite simple, but in fact, they are missing from so many of our daily lives. In fact, we call them the “missing pieces.”
